So, one day when Greg Buhlert and myself were mixing Firecliffs, greg had all the stereo pairs of the final track mixes in one session. He was doing final bouncing. He hit play on accident. And we listened to the entire record all at once. And we laughed. A few months later i got an email asking for submissions to a CD of 99 improvisers, the only stipulation being the track had to be 42 seconds long. So greg and myself took the Firecliffs sessions, cut them up into 42 second bits and put them on top of each other. The compilation seemed that it would never come out, so we put out a limited edition 3" CDR with the track. And now you to can hear the entire Firecliffs record in 42 seconds. -NMH
